White flowers mingle with pear, peach, apple, a little tropical fruit and faint herbal notes. Deliciously quaff-worthy with refreshing, tangy citrus and tropical fruit on the palate. It has the light pleasing freshness of Gavi, but with sunnier disposition and more interesting flavours without being over the top. Wonderful summer wine.
Albarino is one of those wines that has been so over produced, a bit like Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough or Pinot Grigio, as brand creators jump on the band-wagon. But this comes from top family owned vineyards, and shows all of the beautiful, natural expression of the variety. It is DE-LI-CIOUS.
