A wine that jumps out of the glass at you – so mouth-watering with its lush orchard fruits, citrus notes, kiwi and crunchy green apple too. Lots of wine for the money, and such a nice balance between the more ample, tropical notes from the Colombard, and tangy freshness from the Sauvignon. Flavour-packed, and superb summer drinking, at a mere 11.5%.
Horgelus has long been our best value white forthe price. A family estate founded in 1978 by Joseph Le Menn, covering 66 hectares of vines. Le Menn saw an opportunity in Gascony to get the best out of a region formerly known only for its brandies.
