Maison Blanche are located on south west side of the Montagne-Saint-Emilion, one of the most picturesque bits of the Libournais on Bordeaux's right bank, has been biodynamic since well before it became fashionable. Demeter-certified since 2013, Maison Blanche produces some of the most deliciously classical, low-intervention, low-sulphur Bordeaux wines on the market, wines of place that are quite atypical in a region widely regarded to have become a winemaking factory beholden to chemical fertilisers and pesticides without any justifiable claim to terroir identity. 5 333 vines per hectare. This is the baby from legendary producer Lopez de Heredia, but it stands tall next to far more expensive wines. What this Crianza gives for the price is jaw-dropping. There is so much to enjoy here. Already 8 years old yet fresh as daisy, the Cubillo is kerpow on the nose - ripe fruits like damson plum and ripe red cherries spill over from this fruit forward vintage. But nicely balanced by notes of tobacco and nutmeg with a hint of vanilla and liquorice just adding a seductive sweetness. Dive in and it is silky smooth with the lightest touch of soft tannins and just bursting with fruit. The finish goes on and on. A truly stunning Crianza that shows you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy a special wine from a very famous producer. Maria José López de Heredia and her winemaker sister, Mercedes, couldn’t care less about wine fashions. They've been producing wines in the style their great grandfather did, where their wines slumber in their deep cellars for many years before release. The quest for perfection is of utmost importance, and no wine is released until it is ready.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2466/1541/files/BC_Upload_ab9049f9-9cc7-4306-9431-425eced48123.jpg?v=1780651869
cremant-de-limoux-a-la-volee-brut-nature-2023
Cremant Brut Nature A La Volee 2023

We prefer the quality of this to the Champagnes you might be able to pick up at a similar price.
