Tasting Notes
It verges towards a Crozes-Hermitage on the nose, but with a more southern sort of breadth and scent of garrigue. With four years age, Cuvée Tradition is a seamlessly smoothed-out siren song to the warm south. On the nose, mature dark fruits of molten blackcurrant and black fig meld with garrigue herbs and an infinitesimal hint of smoky barrels, while the palate offers sweet sun-ripe dark fruits in abundance. As ever, it has a beautiful lift and finesse on the finish. 'Grand vin' qualities for sure.
More Info
The vast viticultural region of the Languedoc has furnished some of our most exciting discoveries of the past and no find has succeeded in tickling our taste buds and wowing our wallets quite like the Mas Brunet Cuvee Tradition. This is easily one of the best value wines we've ever tried from the region. We can't work out whether the Coulet brothers simply don't know how good their wines are, or if they do know but are more interested in keeping their customers very, very happy.
