So much to like here in this ludicrously good value white blend from Gascony. Grapefruit pith and juice, roasted pineapple and semi-dried chunks with hints of sun-drying hay and a little saltiness. There's some richness there and it's a little unctuous but the acidity just sings - so zingy, with a squeeze of lime that makes your mouth water almost uncontrollably. Gosh we love it! And what a superb find it is for £12.50. La Valse means waltz in English, and true, it simply waltzes across your tongue!
Horgelus' wines have long been some of our best value wines for the price. A family estate run by Yoan Le Menn, a phenomenal winemaker, who has not put a foot wrong in the 10 years we have known him.
