Exquisite Burgundy that reminds us of Meursault a bit in character. A small clos (enclose vineyard within a forest) of 5 hectares in Cruzille. This is about 45 minutes north of Macon. The terroir is high altitude, quite steep in places, on limestone, which makes this high energy, complex, beautiful wine. Fresh, with good texture. It has been aged in oak tonneaux to develop complexity but it has not picked up a lot of the oak character. Organic and practicing biodynamic. Seriously classy, and a very exciting producer.
