One of the most exquisite mouthfuls of wine. Blackberries, cherry jam and plums. Tantalising bittersweet notes, glossy coffee bean and the best barrel aged balsamic. Clean and very long in the mouth, it's a superb drop to end a meal with cheese or pud.
This is made in the Amarone method with dried grapes from Valpolicella-Corvina 40%, Corvinone 30%, Rondinella 25%, Molinara 5%. The grapes are dried about one month longer than for Amarone, so about five months in total. Wonderful with dark chocolate, perhaps even a mousse, sweet Gorgonzola and or some well aged Pecorino.
