The Pietra Brunello is extremely fine, with a beautiful lifted perfume. You could say this is for Montalcino, Sangiovese purists. Red cherry and wild strawberry with those classic Brunello sweet spices and dried herbs. #Tasting# On the palate more of that cherry with spicy plum, nutmeg, thyme, gentle oak notes and a deeper almost smokey note. You could say it’s a more traditional style or reflection of Sangiovese, more like a Biondi-Santi style, or Pergole Torte style. Beautiful now and with a long life ahead.
