Tasting Notes
Reminds of Chateauneuf du Pape. Ultra smooth, full, but not heavy; seamless on, it drinks very easily - without food as well as with. Excellent with cheese and charcuterie. But also with substantial food.

Faugeres - North West of Montpellier - has been our radar for quite some time. They've threatened to be good value, but as the vines of the best varieties planted there are old, they tend to come in North of the £20 mark and some have gone beyond £30. Some are quite gamey and leathery and some quite sweet. But in our opinion this is just right, and despite being made from 90 + year old vines, yielding very low quantities, which in the hands of some owners would have tempted them to charge double from the off, this new producer, who has taken over a well tended vineyard is keen to get underway, so we've got in at just the right time.
