This epiphany caused him to up sticks from his Barolo home to oversee the vineyards and he's been there ever since. After WW1, this was the only vinegrowing family to continue making its own wine. The rest went to the cooperative. This means that Brunet are, in a sense, the oldest independent winery in the Terrasses du Larzac. And what wines they are.
