A striking example of NZ Sauvignon made in the richer more serious style: 'Elegant, barrel-fermented sauvignon blanc with a strong smoky-oak and nutty yeast lees influence supported by gentle, ripe varietal flavors of stone fruit, apricot, and elderflower.' - Bob Campbell MV
When it comes to the wines, it is a team effort. All of the hand work done on our sites is done by the family. Harvest is a joint operation with growers and their children as we try to capture the special ambience of each site.'
FROM THE PRESS
“A striking and distinctive bouquet with aromas of stone and citrus fruits fused between layers of wood spices and a little white smoke. On the palate - an immediate creamy texture transitions to to one showing the acid line of SB highlighting the barrel component then fruits of the variety. A lees autolysis suggests bread and other baked goods while the fruit suggests a mix of tropical and citrus. Overall a lovely wine with a combination of intriguing textures and flavours, but holds true to the personality of Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now and through 2022. 91 Points”Cam Douglas MS
