Tasting Notes
It's hard to imagine a more glowing review for a Cabernet Sauvignon at this price, and that, from the most respected arbiter of Bordeaux in the world, Neal Martin, who stepped into Robert Parker's shoes a few years ago.
More Info
Keermont Estate sits in a natural amphitheatre between the Helderberg and Stellenbosch mountain ranges. It was established in 2003 by the Wraith family, who expanded an existing 8ha of vines (mostly Chenin Blanc) to almost 30ha. A great deal of credit must go to young winemaker Alex Starey, whose experience gleaned from wineries across the world, from the Maipo Valley to the hills of Côte Rôtie, guides his hand. That experience is complemented by a boundless enthusiasm for great wines throughout the world, be they classics or those from off the beaten track.
