Described as one of Spain’s true first growths, yet flying under the radar for many, the 2008 vintage really does epitomise what makes Tondonia so sought after. With healthy rainfall and a hot summer, the 2008 is slightly fresher but with superb balance and purity, lending itself perfectly for a long and exciting future.
But with that being said, these wines are vibrant yet layered when drunk in their youth and will continue to develop and remain pure for many years. This is down to López de Heredia staying true to their techniques and philosophies for over 140 years. Given their promise of year-on-year quality and increasing reputation, Tondonia prices have also resisted the ever increasing inflation in the wine world. Rarely can age worthy wine of this quality be found at this price.
