Tasting Notes
Exclusively from their 1955 plantings, fermented in and aged in barrel with some skin contact too. Fantastic weight and concentration on the nose, lush and tangy yellow plums, chalky notes, white pepper and greengages. Both subtle and extremely expressive and engaging, with lemon-limey fruit and hints of stones. Very ageworthy too.

Domaine du Bouchot was named Revue des Vins de France’s DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR this year and we can see why! Such subtly refined wines, extremely generous and incredibly interesting, very hard to put the glass down. Domaine du Bouchot are a seminal producer in the history of Pouilly Fume, as the very first domaine in the region to become certified back in 2009, as well as being a key campaigner in obtaining the AOC certification of the appellation. Today, there are just two others certified organic, and Bouchot have stepped it up a further level by converting to biodynamics too, certified with both Demeter and Biodyvin.
