Textbook, gorgeous Baga made in the old fashioned and low intervention way. Loaded with cherries, and a good earthiness, like the fresh smell of healthy, full-of-life organic soil, a little umami and plum fruit. Rounded and very long, with lovely succulent tannins too. Certainly with a nod to Niepoort's Lagar de Baixo, we love it!

The Finest Wines Available to Humanity is not some deluded statement of intent, but is taken from the cult 1987 film, Withnail and I. Withnail says “we want the finest wines available to humanity, and we want them now”. TFWATH is, in his words "taking his love of wine to a new level - that old nomadic winemaking lark working with interesting grower-producers, unsung grape varieties, in unusual and lesser known corners of the world.
