Tasting Notes
From a 0.4 ha lieu-dit overlooking the village, with vines aged around 60 years on shallow, limestone soils. A stunning white with layer upon layer of flavour- whipped lemon curd, white peaches, toasted almond slivers, citrus fruit and crushed rocks. Slightly hedonistic, but fresh and sprightly - a gorgeous Meursault.

With a long history of wine-making in his family and several members working close by in Puligny Montrachet, perhaps it was always fate that Romaric Chavy would make great wines. Romaric took over the family estate after the passing of his father at the tender age of 22. Whilst his father Hubert had previously been selling the bulk of his production to the top negociants, Romaric chose to swiftly transition to bottling nearly everything they produce, wasting no time in staking a claim as one of Burgundy’s next wine-making stars. Incredibly experienced for such a young winemaker, Romaric studied from a young age, before working with his godfather and Meursault magician, François Mikulski, as well as gaining valuable experience abroad in Spain, South Africa and Greece. The wines are full and rich, but with a wonderful freshness and vitality that makes them a pleasure to drink in their youth.
