Tasting Notes
95 points from James Suckling, this Barberesco is a beauty. It's got a bit of age and has mellowed. Fine, elegant perfume with notes of red fruits, violets and rose. There is a touch of eucalyptus mingling with cedar and clove. Lovely, velvety tannins. It would be wonderful with pigeon, or with pappardelle with a good ragu.
More Info
I was first introduced to Marco Molino and his father, Tommaso, by our friends from the Montalcino producer Cupano, over dinner in Verona. It's been a pleasure to gradually get to know them, and fantastic to see the progression in quality in the last few years. Wow!
