Tasting Notes
‘That has to be the most fragrant and yummy Beaujolais I've had. I cooled it a little on Saturday night then just had to open it with a mate who needed cheering up. It rocked. The fruit on the nose is so seductive and the palate just superbly vibrant. A fruit bomb with perfectly balanced acidity and the lightest touch of alcohol. I have not stopped raving about it since.’ RSB
More Info
From just over 3ha of old vines around the crus of Morgon, Chiroubles, Regnié and Cote de Brouilly, Breton’s Beaujolais are possessed of a fruity vibrancy, ethereality and minerality which makes the mind boggle, showing what can be done when low-intervention, low- or no-sulphur winemaking is allied to obsessively careful vineyard management and a deep understanding of Jules Chauvet's methods for working with gamay. In Beaujolais terms, Breton remains a bona fide don.
