Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine is of a bright, pale purple. The nose gives notes of ripe cranberry, red gooseberry, hints of red cherry, stewed strawberry and fresh violets. On the palate the tannins are soft. The fruit is concentrated. Riper notes of raspberry and cassis, mix ethereally with mint, liquorice and earthier, spicy notes.
More Info
Guy Breton's estate is only 3 hectares, most of which is around Morgon. With vine age between 8 and 80 years old. The terroir here makes for a fresher, finer style, with a gouleyant acidity.
