80 years old bush vines. The concentration and precision of fruit is remarkable - sweet cranberry, blackcurrant and black cherry. The nose is suggestive of a forest during summertime, with scent of wild flowers and violets, liquorice, mint, fern and hummus. Beautifully balanced, the acidity adding freshness to the fruits and the velvety texture adding charms to the savoury notes. A complete wine that has many years of interesting evolution ahead of it, but which is fully opened already.
Our very own Guy Breton has been quietly creating these wines for decades, unassumingly cementing himself as Beaujolais royalty and leading the natural wine movement in not only the region, but the whole country.
FROM THE PRESS
“rk magenta. Assertive red and blue fruit and potpourri aromas are complicated by exotic spice, potpourri and smoky mineral accents. Finely detailed, mineral-driven raspberry, boysenberry, Asian spice and candied lavender flavors deepen with aeration while maintaining vivacity. Sappy, seamless and sharply focused on the impressively long, minerally finish, which is framed by polished, well-knit tannins. 94/100”Josh Raynolds, Vinous
