Tasting Notes

This fabulously juicy cuvee highlights the unusual and almost forgotten Segalin variety, harvested it early and vinifying it a bit like a rose, with 30% Malbec too that would usually go in to Les Polissons, making it the most deliciously crunchy, fresh and fruity red. A little bit glou glou, a little bit flirty, totally delish!

More Info

Located in the western corner of Cahors in the village of Lacapelle-Cabanac, third generation winemaker Benoit Aymard took over the reins of his small and slightly dilapidated family domaine in 2014. He enjoys drinking Gamay and Loire reds, and it's this freshness and drinkability that guides his decisions at harvest and in the cellar. Thus, Benoit focuses on emphasising the beautiful fruit that Malbec can offer and moving away from the more austere or over extracted style Cahors and the grape is known for.
