Absolutely beautiful - a lovely wine to match its lovely name. Unmistakable and utterly tantalising aromas of hawthorn blossom, like walking down a path in the English countryside in late spring, lots of lemon butter, greengages, a sprinkle of white pepper and tangy candied plums. Lots of fruit and flinty verve on the palate - more of that candied yellow plum, crystallised pineapple and a very mouth-waterining, tingling long finish.
Produced by David Maudry, who also produces our brilliant A Peu Pres, from a site with clay-limestone soils in the heart of the appellation. A brilliant buy, and exceptional value
