Decanter Magazine Top 100 Wines of the Year, 93 points. Plums, ripe blackcurrant and bramble, with notes of oak and a hint of cedar and tobacco, with a faint hint of the lovely balancing herbaceous aroma that comes with good Merlot - and a nice amount of freshness. As it opens it gets a bit deeper and fleshes out, suggesting it will go a couple of years in the wine rack, no problem, and even improve.
Soli Pinot Noir has been one of our best-selling wines for nigh on to 10 years now. That an unknown Bulgarian red could have become so, and sell in Michelin-starred restaurants would hardly have been imaginable back then. FROM THE PRESS
“Tobacco and cigar box on the nose, with bitter dark chocolate and some attractive herbal notes. Full-bodied style but with balanced oak and acidity, which lends the wine an overall elegance and restraint. Finishes with an appealing grip of tannin and a floral edge.”Decanter Top 100 Wines of the Year 93 points
