Tasting Notes
*Pre-arrival offer - will be £75.00 RRP Wines arrive mid-June Only 1000 bottles made, from a single plot on the steepest south-southwest slope of the Schlipf with clay-marl soils. It's backbreaking work to farm on such a marginal area. Warm, plush and soft, with darker fruit on the nose, plummy notes and blackberry fruit, crushed rocks and gravel and dried floral aromas. There's a touch more opulence here, with youthful, chalky tannins. Remarkably age-worthy, and just now, it is only offering the merest hint to its future over the next decade and soon-to-unravel complexities.

The roots of our family of winemakers in Weil am Rhein go back to 1465. With the purchase of the estate in 1892, below the Schlipfs vineyards, Johannes Schneider laid the foundation stone for today's winery. Since then, generations have been working together with the same passion and cultivating the unique vineyards on the Tüllinger Berg. Since the beginning, our focus has been on fully fermented wines and the traditional and local grape varieties, the Pinot family and the Gutedel
