Vina Ardanza Reserva, La Rioja Alta, is always an amazingly beautiful wine. There's just something about it that is so gorgeous. It drinks so well on release, but it's one of those wines that can go another 20 years and still be beautiful, such is the quality. Delicious ripe red and black fruits, with nutmeg and vanilla, cocoa and cedar. It feels luxurious and indulgent; It's one of the world's great wine bargains.

La Rioja Alta are one of the regions greatest producers. They have sculpted the modern style of Rioja we know today and have a superb, long history of top, top wine. Yet, they are still so extremely reasonably priced, given all this pedigree.
