Quite superb Bordeaux with classic, fine, gravelly, pencil and graphite notes, and on the palate with lovely fruit. I love good Bordeaux, and it’s so nice when something like this comes along that delivers good quality but at such a decent price.

In the Medoc, it's just 3 km from the famous Chateaux of St Julien, eg. Leoville-Barton and Langoa-Barton. And next to some of the vineyards of Chateau Gruaud-Larose and Chateau Lascombes.
