Tasting Notes
This lovely Marlborough Sauvignon has real bite and presence to it. Oh-so-tangy, with lots of passionfruit, yellow plum, papaya and just ripe-mango with a good squeeze of lime, and a liberal sprinkling of white pepper too. Sourced from a handful of vineyards, all components are kept on yeast lees for as long as possible, adding greater flavour and softness to the wine. Scrummy! And vegan too.

The Darling are organic wine pioneers in New Zealand. After making wine for other people for many years, winemaker Chris Darling and viticulturist Bart Arnst teamed up in 2007 to make great wines under their own label, working with select small and mostly family growers - all certified organic or biodynamic. Bart is a founding member of Organic Winegrowers of New Zealand, and previously worked for Seresin Vineyards, overseeing their conversion to organics. He left in 2005 to provide a consultant service to those interested in organic change and has worked closely with a large percentage of the New Zealand organic winegrower sector.
