Tasting Notes

Winner of 'Coup de Coeur' for best wine in its appellation. Graphite, stewed autumnal fruits, coffee bean, soft, subtle leather, and typical lovely Bordeaux gravelly character, with tissue fine tannins, while retaining a warmth and generosity.

Winner of 'Coup de Coeur' for best wine in its appellation - in Guides des Vin de France. Based across the river from St Julien and Margaux, in the Cotes de Blaye. Bordeaux is blessed with small producers who are below the radar. The best thing is they are great value. But there are plenty that don't make the grade.

FROM THE PRESS

“A classic blend of Cab Franc, Cab Sauv and Merlot from the Côtes de Blaye on the right bank of the Gironde, it’s deliciously concentrated and intense with cherries, plums and pencil shavings backed by enticingly earthy mushroom notes. You could pay twice as much for a bigger name and get half the pleasure.”
