About this Wine
If you are looking to Prosecco as an alternative to Champagne, this is the one to go for. The current bottling of the fully sparkling Brut is superb. Super fresh, juicy, sherbert and lovely bubbles.
It may seem odd that the Prosecco consorzio have changed the name of the grape on which their reputation has been built from ‘Prosecco’ to ‘Glera’, but it’s actually very crafty. The word ‘Prosecco’ can now only be used for wines made within the demarcated Prosecco region, so if anyone uses their famous grape outside of the DOC, they now have to call their wine ‘Glera’, which doesn’t sound nearly as nice. A subtle, but ingenious coup! This fully-sparkling example of Prosecco is pure and bone dry with gentle yet enticing orchard fruit aromas. The palate has a lovely soft, full texture with a touch of peach on the finish and great balance. 11.5% alc. Drink now.
