Tasting Notes
The Cabernet has delicious ripeness and spiciness, a touch eastern, conjuring up images of walking through a souk with spices piled high. It’s full-bodied, smooth, and full of the joys of the sun valley, as it’s called, where its made. It's also a modest 13.5%, but delivers a really generous well-balanced mouthful.

Robin: I was at the wine club, 67 Pall Mall, in November, and was spotted by an old friend, Richard Bampfield MW, who specialises in Bordeaux, and for that matter many good wines, and he’s the guy whose signature goes on some of the bottles at Lidl. He introduced me to Vitalii who is the MD of a winery in the area of Odessa. We looked each other in the eye, shook hands, and smiled knowingly in solidarity that we need to make this work. He sent samples of his Chardonnay and Cabernet which both greatly impressed us. The wines are delicious. We may not be able to send Typhoons, but we can buy their wine.
