Tasting Notes
A lively blend of Gewurztraminer and Riesling, with around 8g residual sugar. Lychee and ginger, rose petal and pink grapefruit. This is the antithesis of the flabby, alcoholic wines gewürz can produce in careless hands. The partial skin maceration has given a good bit of structure, and it has fab aromatic intensity and an added fresh, spicy touch. It's firm enough to go with a lobster bisque or lobster and mango salad - a beef carpaccio or a salmon tartare would do marvels too.

Vignoble de Reveur is a joint project between Mathieu Deiss of the celebrated Alsace winemaking family and his partner, Emmanuelle Milan, daughter of Henri Milan. Mathieu farms his grandfather's 7.5ha of vineyard parcels, mostly in the commune of Bennwihr, using biodynamic methods. With the occasional foray into skin contact, he prefers, where possible, to use no sulphur at all in the winemaking process. Brilliant, vivid wines, with such energy.
