Tasting Notes
Gentle ripe fruit, with bass and smooth depth, hints of rose, peach and ripe cherry on the nose. Sensual, slightly rounder, and quite grand. This Barolo 'Comune' speaks of its terroir, and how the winemaker has guided it.

The more I look around at fine wine prices, the more disconsolate I become, and the more I realise we need to shout about these kinds of wines that come from superb terroirs, from the incredible Nebbiolo grape, and from passionate winemakers. Moreover, they are much better with food than many of highly priced wines. On the look out for fantastic wines that offer value, I went to a tasting of top 'Comune' Barolo from the 2020 vintage with the Barolo boys at 67 Pall Mall. I selected two wines as my favourites. This one from Diego Conterno and another from Agostino Bosco.
