Tasting Notes
Really impressive. From the gravel rich soils of Les Gravieres, this is creamy - lemon butter oat biscuits, toasted almonds, meringues and lemon curd, with a powerful, grippy palate, nicely creamy and with great definition

It's thanks to the Buisson brothers of Saint-Romain that we were introduced to Domaine Jessiaume last year. Vigneron William Waterkyn joined the domaine in 2014 fresh faced, and full of energy in his mid 20s and has overseen the conversion of the farming to organics, gaining their certification in 2019, now en route to certified biodynamics. He's a young winemaker with a natural flair, and his talent has not gone unnoticed. In February last year, he was named as Burgundy's Young Talent of the Year, and just a week later, was cited in Decanter Magazine as one of the top 10 producers to watch. One can not dumb down the losses in vintage 2020 in Burgundy. Domaine Jessiaume's total production was around 70% less than the average year, and so we are delighted to have the quantities we have.
