Tasting Notes
A wonderful sunshine-filled mouthfeel. In some ways, this reminds us of whites from the Languedoc, in the south of France - often Chardonnay blended with a little Vermentino and Viognier. It has fantastic fruit - pineapple, peaches and apricot puree, good body with a sprightly freshness. Here’s a wine you can serve to friends with pride. It will do well at the dinner table, and you can guzzle it with the first bbqs of Spring.

Robin: I was at the wine club, 67 Pall Mall, in November, and was spotted by an old friend, Richard Bampfield MW, who specialises in Bordeaux, and for that matter many good wines, and he’s the guy whose signature goes on some of the bottles at Lidl. He introduced me to Vitalii who is the MD of a winery in the area of Odessa. We looked each other in the eye, shook hands, and smiled knowingly in solidarity that we need to make this work. He sent samples of his Chardonnay and Cabernet which both greatly impressed us. The wines are delicious. We may not be able to send Typhoons, but we can buy their wine.
