Tasting Notes
Give it a good swirl and lots of air! Spicy cedar box, proper old fashioned liquorice and raspberry coulis. Tight tannins, a gently grippy palate too, a little bergamot and oud. No hurry to drink this, and best enjoyed over several evenings.
More Info
Located between notable estates Chateau Cantemerle and Giscours, Mille Roses was inherited by David in 1999 on the premature death of his parents. At the beginning, they had just 0.5 ha of vines, and with his wife Sophie, they renovated and expanded the estate, which now totals 10ha under vine, certified organic. He named the estate Mille Roses in honour of his mother's passion for roses. They offer beautiful, honest wines from Margaux and Haut-médoc appelations and believe that a rich and well-balanced wine with a personal identity comes first and foremost from its terroir.
