Tasting Notes
Wow! This is amazing. Cremant is quite talked about as an alternative to Champagne, and there are a few good ones, but many are after thoughts, made from less good grapes that don't go into the still wine a producer makes. Whereas this is made from absolutely beautifully farmed grapes. You will be hard pushed to find a better quality Cremant than Philippe Zinck's for the price. The only thing is the label is a bit weird. But I never let that get in the way of wine that is such good value.

Twenty five years ago I used to have a wine shop in Belsize Park. We used to buy wine hand to mouth, but one day I went to a tasting of Alsace wines. I tasted every wine in the room, and I thought the best value was the Pinot Blanc of Philippe Zinck. In fact I even preferred it to the famous wines of Hugel and Trimbach. It was a leap from buying hand to mouth a few cases at a time, but I liked the wine so much I decided ship 50 dozen bottles. It quickly became our best selling wine, and we were back for a pallet every few months. And now coming back full circle to discover Philippe's sensational Cremant is just wonderful. I am so glad we can offer the wines again.
