A beautiful Southern French Rhone blend of Viognier and Grenache Blanc. This exudes sunshine and ripe stone fruits like peach and apricot. This wine sits quietly in our warehouse as we get so little a year, but it's one of the best values we have. Excellent texture. It's gorgeous.

Geographically, we’re high in the hills to the north of Montpellier, above the long and winding river Hérault. This domaine was something of a patchwork operation, segmented over the years as inheritances split one estate into several. Now it is wholeagain, under the control of brothers Serge and Marc Coulet, the scions of a family that has owned the estate since the 18th century. After WW1, this was the only vinegrowing family to continue making its own wine. The rest went to the cooperative. This means that Brunet are, in a sense, the oldest independent winery in the Terrasses du Larzac. And what wines they are. Far more refined than those from neighbouring Pic St Loup, Mas Brunet is a firm favourite of the Swig team.
