Tasting Notes

Very classy Chardonnay from a new star producer in Tuscany, South of Siena, who trained in Burgundy with the famous Domaine De Montille, where he made Corton-Charlemagne. Better than the much more expensive Umbrian white, Cervaro della Sala. If you’re tempted, buy it! Langoustines, scallops, pasta with a creamy sauce, guinea fowl.

More Info

Giacomo fell in love with wine and went and gained experience around the world, including stints at Greystone in New Zealand’s Waipara region, and de Montille in Burgundy. He then came back to his family property (12.5 hectares with 4.5 hectares of vines) in the south of Tuscany, to make his own wines.  "We are a family business, founded in the 90s and initially managed by my father Silvestro, who never dealt with viticulture and wine. We had woods, meadows and a few hectares of arable land. Today we count on 12 hectares of which 3,5 are planted with vines. During my 18th birthday lunch celebration with my family I had an epiphany, my dad opened a magnum of Sassicaia, vintage 1997, and a Barolo Sorì Ginestra by Conterno Fantino, vintage 2000."
