A seriously jazzy three way blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, from 50 year old organic and biodynamic vineyards. We've loved this wine for years, but the quality of the 2020 Pierres Sauvages left us dumbfounded - it's just fabulous. Gently golden and floral, with dried apricot and honey, toasted walnuts and a bit of spice too – stem ginger, with good weight and great lifted finish.
Vignoble de Reveur is a joint project between Mathieu Deiss of the celebrated Alsace winemaking family and his partner, Emmanuelle Milan, daughter of Henri Milan. Mathieu farms his grandfather's 7.5ha of vineyard parcels, mostly in the commune of Bennwihr, using biodynamic methods. With the occasional foray into skin contact, he prefers, where possible, to use no sulphur at all in the winemaking process. Brilliant, vivid wines, with such energy.
