Tasting Notes
"The 2021 Crescendo has a powerful, intense bouquet, whereby this year the Cabernet Franc component is more expressive, imbuing the aromatics with a touch of bell pepper and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, classic in style, reserved but fresh, with an underlying marine influence. Very stylish, with a touch of cracked black pepper that enlivens the finish. Seeking great Stellenbosch Cabernet Franc and crazily great value? Step this way." 92pts, Neal Martin, Vinous.com

Taaibosch is a relatively new project, but on that is incredibly inspired by the history and legacy of viticulture up in the Helderberg. Describing the project as custodianship not ownership and the purpose is as much about safeguarding the terroir and supporting the local environment as it is about winemaking. Fortunately those things do positively link, so this diligent, conscious and minimal intervention approach is producing fabulous wine.
