Whilst all previous Florpower's have been unfortified wines, this 2018 vintage is a slightly different take. Sourced exclusively from a site in the Pago Miraflores La Baja, this aged for a year under flor before gentle fortification, and almost a further three years prior to bottling.

It is a remarkable turn of events how two friends: sherry fanatic, wine writer and criminology professor Jesús Barquín and Eduardo Ojeda, technical director at Grupo Estevez (which includes the renown sherry houses of Valdespino and La Gitana) have gone from solely bottling special wines for themselves and their friends, to becoming one of the most celebrated producers of the region. Far from being a conventional producer, as they do not actually make any wine, at the heart of what Equipo Navazos do is the selection process, not necessarily of the best or oldest soleras, but of the most striking individual butts neglected in the corners of a number of Andalusia's most prestigious bodegas.
