ON OFFER - £55 when 6, £57 when 3 This Barolo is comprised of Roddi "Bricco Ambrogio" - 220m, Ravera 370m, Roere di Santa Maria 220m, south and west facing; and Roere di Santa Maria 220m, south facing, and this is the first year that this important vineyard has been included. As per last year, staggeringly lovely. Elegant, with finesse, and beauty. Gentle and so easy to drink now.

In Piedmont, Gian Luca Colombo is the guy that everyone talks about. The architect of the neo-classical style of Barolo focusing on wines with real finesse: silky, elegant, perfumed, fine fruit, with gentler tannins, less wood and extraction, Colombo is the guy that everyone wants advice from. He won the Gambelli award for best young winemaker in Italy, and he works alongside a winemaker who is a consultant in Barbaresco, who makes the wine at esteemed Bruno Giacosa. They taste together, and talk together. The point is here is, that anything exciting happening in Barolo and Barbaresco, Gian Luca is probably aware of, and likely to be involved with. Gian Luca has a very small production of his own, and we are thrilled to have our hands on these wines.
