This fantastic sparkling rosé, made from the pink-skinned Pinot Grigio grape, is guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face. We served it ‘blind’ to a group of knowledgeable barristers and not only were they amazed to learn that it wasn't rosé champagne, but some of them even broke into a beaming grimace.
It shows an elegant, pale salmon colour and a totally dry palate with hints of wild berries, strawberry shortcake and raspberry sorbet. As with all of La Jara’s wines it is fully organic. 11.5% alc. Drink now.
FROM THE PRESS
“La Jara, Pinot Grigio Rosé Brut, Veneto, Italy. Not many people know this, but pinot grigio has a pink skin (literally ‘grey’ from grigio) and so if you crush the grapes gently you can pick up a stunning pink hue from these organically grown tiptop grapes. La Jara is jaw-droppingly beautiful and ultra-rare. Made by a Prosecco genius, this is one of the most alluring fizzies I have tasted in years.”Matthew Jukes, The Mail
“Don’t be put off by this rosé fizz – it may not have the best reputation, but this is nothing like your average Pinot Grigio. It’s dry, elegant, fresh and very quaffable with notes of strawberry and raspberry sorbet and ripe peachy character. Pinot Grigio has a natural pink skin and the extra 12 hours’ skin contact gives a pink glow.”Decanter
