Sourced from three different vineyards, and with a drop of Mourvèdre added to the blend, it is inky in colour and with dark fruit, but surprisingly nimble - violets, mulberries and a little sizzling bacon fat. On the palate there's fabulous hot cross bun flavours - all candied peel and baking spice and pepper, matched with savoury fynbos and brush and a little caraway. The finish is very fine with refreshing acidity and a certain crunchiness to the fruit. Delish!

Keermont Estate may well take the prize for most beautiful vineyards and views in all of South Africa. And yup, there's some pretty stiff competition!
