Tasting Notes

'94 points - The 2022 Fleurfontein, which contains a splash of Roussane and finished at 290g/l residual sugar, has a beautiful nose with wonderful purity—orange blossom, quince and marmalade soar from the glass. The palate is very pure and slightly candied on the opening, revealing notes of apricot and fig. Honeyed and spicy toward the finish, this is a fabulous dessert wine from Keermont that should age marvelously in bottle. Drinking Window 2024 - 2038' Neal Martin, Vinous.com # Tasting# Produced from exclusively estate grown fruit, and a true labour of love! This is not a botrytised wine, or a straw wine. Raisins are produced by pinching the stem of the grape bunches while they ripen on the vine which stops the translocation of fluids in and out of the grapes and allows them to dry naturally during the warm summer. The name comes from a beautiful spring on the farm near the Sauvignon Blanc vineyard from which the grapes are sourced.
