Tasting Notes
Sitting 350m above sea level on the west-facing slope of the Stellenbosch mountain, the Topside vineyard's elevation, exposure and the rocky sandstone-granite soils all lend a spicy character and fine tannin structure to the wine. With dense, darker briar-led fruit, some pretty floral aromas melding with anise, herbs and fine, sandy tannins, this is a Syrah with plenty of years in the tank for the future to come.
