The passionate Nicolas Despagne, owner/winemaker, pictured below, who was pouring his wines, is doing a deal until March, making his excellent second wine £18.95, normally £26, and his first wine £28, normally £38.50.
Both are from the very good 2019 vintage, which has a lovely combination of ripe fruit, complexity, structure, charm and balance. Super. They are from vineyards on a hill, called the Montagne-St-Emilion just to the north of the town of St Emilion.
