Tasting Notes
Sourced from three different vineyards, and with a drop of Mourvedre added to the blend, the 2018 Syrah is inky in colour and with dark fruit, but surprisingly nimble - violets, mulberries and a little sizzling bacon fat. On the palate there's fabulous hot cross bun flavours - all candied peel and baking spice and pepper, matched with savoury fynbos and brush and a little caraway. The finish is very fine with refreshing acidity and a certain crunchiness to the fruit. Delish!
