Tasting Notes
The Bosco has something wonderfully savoury about it, and thought of it has being a bit more rose and bayleaf, and maybe with a bit more treble, gentler ripe fruit, and bass, and I thought the aroma was just amzing, lots of ripe cherry. Hard not to love!

Earlier this year I went to a tasting put on by the Barolo boys. For those of you who don't know, that's Nelson Pari (my colleague) and Federico Moccia, head sommelier at 67 Pall Mall. To make their report, they tasted all of the comune wines of Barolo. Federico and Nelson selected 6 wines to show at the tasting that they felt were the best of the 2021 vintage, having conducted a blind tasting, with some highly respected Barolo winemakers present. Of those six, I selected two that were my favourites of the evening. And Nelson concurs. These two, I hasten to add, are not wines that we distribute. We have shipped them in purely to retail them and enjoy them. The two wines are from Agostino Bosco in La Morra and from Diego Conterno in Monforte d'Alba. I like them both, a lot.
