Tasting Notes
Lime, green apple crunch and tantalising wet stone acidity. Now with a little age it is developing some delicious aged Riesling characters of beeswax and petrol. Mineral and concentrated. You can enjoy the Winter Riesling by itself, and even Jancis Robinson has confessed to sipping it in the garden. You may expect me to now say it is heaven with Asian food (as that’s what we always have with Riesling, isn't it?) but with quality seafood it is superb.

Let us introduce you to Stefan Winter. He has 2 loves in life; football and winemaking. In fact, after growing up in the Rheinhessen, Stefan started making wine at just 16. Shortly after this he realised Riesling’s elephant in the room; inapproachability in youth and a general lack of anything of quality in-between. He knew it was time for change and boy did he act upon it. Fast forward 30 plus years and Stefan is one of the Rheinhessen's most exciting and brilliant producers. He has set a new bar for younger winemakers to make phenomenal, vibrant and energetic Riesling.
